Challenging Secular Biblical Archaeological Theory
Introduction
In recent years many Biblical archaeologists have abandoned their long held "Biblical-Historical" approach in research to a secular one. Some insist the Bible should no longer be the focus of the discipline. Many academics now prefer to call themselves "Syro-Palestinian archaeologists", thereby disassociating themselves from any Biblical ties to their archaeological research. Despite the accumlating archaeological and geological evidence testifying to major Biblical events, most academics refuse to accept such evidence since it contradicts their secular archeological and geological theories and jeopardizes their academic standing if they were to allign themselves with a traditional Biblical narative. Nevertheless, numerous independent reseachers have challenged the academic establishment with some success.
Back in the 1980s, as Syro-Palestinian archaeologists were dismissing the historical validity of the Bible in their archaeological research, Ron Wyatt, a Christian biblical archaeologist lacking formal archaeological training set out to prove the very existence of the biblical events that Syro/Palestinian archaeologists had denied. Though Wyatt's made some unverifyable claims that damaged his reputation, a number of his discoveries have been validated and remain very credible to this day.
As independent researchers challenge secular archaeological theories, research on "Biblical Flood" geological evidence is challenging the secular narative as well. The Genesis account of "Pre-Flood" civilization is more valid today than ever before with evidence of "Megalythic" structures whose construction defies all know physical capabilities.
